Samuel De Champlain Bridge – First anniversary photo and video gallery

Banner

The Samuel De Champlain Bridge opened to traffic in the summer of 2019 after four years of construction and the dedication of more than 2,000 workers.

Built on the foundation of mobility for all users, this bridge keeps people moving year-round: by foot, bike, car, truck, and soon aboard the REM train.

It connects communities and businesses established on both sides of the Saint-Laurence River. It also creates a stronger, cleaner future for generations to come.

To mark the bridge’s first-year anniversary, here is a photo gallery that provides highlights of its construction, inauguration and first year of operations.
