1. Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) PA1 a. $143.4 $5.6 $6.3 Infrastructure Canada and ACOA will continue to co-manage 13 projects currently underway nearing completion in Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Over 70 percent of the federal contribution is committed to green projects. Infrastructure Canada and ACOA oversaw the completion of eight projects during 2011-12 bringing the total to 310 completed MRIF projects in the region. Following the extension of the agreements between Canada and each of the Atlantic Provinces, all projects that were not completed in 2011-12 are expected to finish before the end of March 2013.

2. Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec (CED) PA1 a. $241.8 $0.0 $35.1 Infrastructure Canada and CED will continue to co-manage 111 projects currently underway nearing completion in Quebec. Over 60 percent of the total federal contribution is committed to green projects. Infrastructure Canada and CED oversaw the completion of one project during 2011-12 bringing the total to 123 completed projects in the province since the inception of the program. The remaining 118 projects will continue to be co-managed by CED as proponents have until March 31, 2013 to complete construction on projects funded under the MRIF.

3. Western Economic Diversification (WED) PA1 a. $286.3 $29.7 $26.7 Infrastructure Canada and WED will continue to co-manage 46 projects currently underway nearing completion in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Over 55 percent of the total federal contribution is committed to green projects. Infrastructure Canada and WED oversaw the completion of 57 MRIF projects during 2011-12 and will continue working together to complete the remaining 59 projects underway as of the beginning of fiscal year 2012-13 in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Under the agreement between Canada and the individual Western Provinces, proponents have until March 31, 2013 to complete construction of 59 ongoing projects funded under the MRIF.

4. Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) PA1 a. $350.3 $11.5 $14.5 Infrastructure Canada and FedDev Ontario will continue to co-manage 128 projects currently underway nearing completion in Ontario. Over 70 percent of the total federal contribution is committed to green projects. Infrastructure Canada and FedDev Ontario oversaw the completion of one project during 2011-12. Further to the September 2011 extension of the Canada-Ontario MRIF agreement, many proponents have taken the opportunity of the additional construction season to complete their projects before the end of March 2013.

5. Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor) PA1 a. $59.1 $0.0 $5.3 Infrastructure Canada and CanNor will continue to co-manage 34 projects currently underway nearing completion in the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Almost 40 percent of the total federal contribution is committed to green projects. Infrastructure Canada and CanNor oversaw the completion of three projects during 2011-12. As of March 31, 2012, six projects remain underway in Yukon, while all MRIF projects in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are now substantially complete. Towards the end of the fiscal year, work began on transferring CanNor responsibilities for the remaining administration of MRIF in the North to Infrastructure Canada to consolidate activities for program closure in the region.
